Davo spent the entire day levelling the table. It was a full day of "tap tap tap" placing the ball onto the slate, it rolls off,"tap tap tap" placing the ball onto the slate, it rolls off,"tap tap tap" placing the ball onto the slate, it rolls off... all day. Then he'd get one piece of slate levelled and start on the next one.
He finally got it all together, as you see here. What a glorious site. I don't think you can realize from the pictures how massive this table is.
A few days later, Jen's Dad was going to come over to see the table. I was feeling a bit sheepish about it, since we just got this wonderful table out of his basement for free. He came down, saw the balls on the table and asked, "So, what is this? The balls have numbers, you hit them in order?" I suddenly felt better.
It's such a huge table yet, it plays like a small table because it does exactly what you tell it to.
I think this pool table was the downfall of Leonard Tose.
I also like to think about all the characters who might've played on it. It's so old, people in the Civil War could've played on it. Who knows?
